DO NOT BE FOOLED - NOT AS PICTURED - NO FLIP UP STRAW Apr 13, 2010
By Lisa M. Foster
"LFoster"
I ordered this product because I own the smaller 18 oz version, which I love. I wanted a bigger one for work - fewer trips to the kitchen for refills. The image shown here has the flip-up straw - that is not what was sent to me. The one that was sent does not have any way of drinking from the bottle except to unscrew and remove the whole lid. Amazon has agreed to refund my purchase including the shipping charges, but wanted to make anyone else aware since the item pictured above is still incorrect. Also, I recently purchased the one with the flip up straw at [...]

Not what I expected Mar 03, 2011
By library2 There is no drinking spout, or inner straw, so the only way to access the liquid inside is to unscrew the top every time you take a drink.

Received different item. Oct 27, 2010
By jeff ames The item in the photo clearly showed a flip top and straw, the item I received was only a bottle with a screw top. Returned and credit issued. It looks as if they have corrected the photo since my return also.

Cute Oct 29, 2009
By Tabitha S. Roberson Very cute item, though I thought it had a straw from the pictures that I saw. Oh well, I don't regret buying it. It was for a great cause. Together we can find a cure!!! Right?!!!
I Own Four--Three Are Good Sep 18, 2011
By MKM I bought one of these 26 oz Thermos Intak Hydration Bottles at OfficeMax a few weeks ago and found it just the right capacity for toting health shakes to and from work.
I loved the pink color, liked that part of the proceeds go toward breast cancer research, and that the bottle is BPA-free. Finding the bottle useful, I returned to OfficeMax to purchase three more (since I need to tote two health shakes to/from work daily, storing them in my office fridge 'til I'm ready to re-agitate/drink them and this is the right size and shape bottle to fit in my office mini-fridge). Three of my four bottles work just great. The wide mouth makes the bottle easier to clean than a bottle with a built-in straw would be. (How would you ever really get bacteria dislodged/cleaned from a bottle with a built-in straw? Gross.)
The downside is that one of the four bottles has a defective seal inside the screw-on lid. The round gasket detaches and flops out onto the rim of the drinking surface and makes a mess while you are drinking. And it is extremely difficult to try to stretch and wedge this gasket back into place, even if you have access to hot running water to heat it/stretch it.
But I would say three out of four of the bottles being flawless isn't bad, especially when one can get this set of features for this price. So, I've logged onto Amazon in search of a bottle to replace my one defective one.
On balance, I would give this bottle a B+.
