Good Basic Water Bottle Sep 08, 2009
By Lisa I've had this water bottle for about two years. It's been perfect for me to keep at work on my desk (it doesn't fit well in my car's cup holder). I prefer to have a leak-free water bottle that I need to open and then immediately close the cap-- not suck or sip out of a semi-open top. I've dropped it numerous times without it breaking and it has never leaked, even after being in the bottom of a diaper bag for a while. Lately I'm seeing small hairline cracks in the bottle, but after washing it in the dishwasher about 1-2 times a week for the last couple of years, I think it's understandable.

Best Water Bottle I Have Ever Used Dec 21, 2009
By J. Welliver I have gone through many different types of water bottles trying to find one that withstands daily use and to be honest, is pretty. This meets the bill. In the span of two months, I don't know how many times I've dropped it. Everytime I pick it up, it is still going strong. It doesn't leak. That is a marvel especially when you are mixing up a drink mix in the bottle.
I would recommend this bottle to anyone. My favorite aspect is the finger hole in the lid. Perfect for carrying when you have your hands full.

Great water bottle Nov 04, 2009
By Raymond Goans I've tried Sigg and Klean Kanteen bottles along with Nalgene and I feel that this Nalgene is the easiest to keep clean of the three. The Sigg and Klean Kanteen bottles also dent very easily which this Nalgene doesn't. Since Nalgene has went BPA free now I'd definitely recommend them over any other manufacturer that I've tried.

The top has a odor Aug 27, 2009
By John M. Wells I bought this bottle and some others from Nalgene looking for a made in USA water bottle with no BPA. The bottle itself seems good, no noticeable taste transfer, etc. However, the cap stinks, literally! The cap, which appears to be made of some type of synthetic rubber, has a bad smell that gives me a headache and even leaves a nasty smell on your hands when you touch it.
My advice, buy one of the other products from Nalgene. The others I bought are OK.
Great Water Bottle Oct 14, 2010
By B. Wueste This is the best Nalgene water bottle that I've owned. First of all it's BPA free - I still don't know exactly what BPA is or why it's bad for you, but I'd rather not be drinking it every day. The plastic is durable and the top screws on nice and tight without one of those annoying plastic straps securing the top to the bottle. I never understood those - they always get in the way while you're drinking and if you're afraid of losing the top then perhaps investing in anything more than a Poland Spring bottle is a bad move. The two potential downsides I should note are that the size of the opening (mouth) of the bottle is a little smaller than I was expecting. Sometimes you have to make a funny face to open your mouth the whole way (or maybe I just have a big mouth). The other downside is that while the bottle holds a lot of water, the base is a little wider than most and it doesn't always fit into smaller cup holders attached to treadmills or in cars.
