 Good design, but a couple of flaws Jan 24, 2009

I really like the design of this bottle - the screw cap is leak-proof, and the screen inside keeps ice cubes from washing into your mouth. However, I knocked off two stars because: 1. It can't go in the dishwasher (yes, it melts) and 2. The base is too big for car cupholders.

I was looking for a water bottle that had a big opening so I could clean it easily yet I wanted one that drank like a regular water bottle. This bottle was perfect. I would recommend it to anyone.

I used this bottle on an archaeology dig. The screw on top kept the dirt off the mouthpiece. I got the clear kind, and it was great because the sun didn't really heat it like everyone else who had metal or dark colored bottles. The measure markings can rub off with lots of humidity and sunscreen contact :D The only downside is that it doesn't fit in most bike bottle holders, but it would work fine clipped to a backpack.

This bottle is great! I am glad to have read the reviews and decided to spend a little more on this one. The opening is just perfect. I didn't want a bottle with one of those straw like things that will break and make the whole bottle useless or get all "limy" with usage or that would get water to come up and spill all over me, and I also didn't want a bottle with a huge mouth opening, so that when I drink I have to struggle for air. This bottle is great! It has the perfect mouth opening size and a great system to open in. It is so fast to open this bottle and so practical and easy. Also, no smell here! The look of it is great and it seems to be of high quality.

Another reviewer mentioned the screen inside the cap, which prevents ice cubes from spilling out. But it also prevents the water from pouring out! When I turn the bottle upside down, the water barely trickles out. I'm thirsty and I can't get any water out of the bottle!
