After having gone through a variety of drinking bottles for my son in only a few short months I chose this stainless steel bottle. So far I am pleased with my purchase. We have not had any leaks all over the school bag or down his shirt when he drinks from it. It will not crack if dropped or accidentally stepped on and there there is the added bonus of not having to worry about whether the contents are safe to drink after sitting in a plastic bottle in the heat all day.
The bottle is easy to use, the spout can be pulled up without adult help and closes easily, then is covered by a plastic cap. The cap is attached to the bottle so wont suddenly disappear. Although the cap has been chewed daily (why do boys do that?) it is still in one piece.
Cleaning inside is quite easy, only under the spout is hard to reach. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars for everything was that the paint or colouring on the outside of the bottle has begun to rub off which I didn't expect so soon.
This bottle will be able to survive the school year, it might not have the artwork intact on the outside , but I'm quite sure it will still be in one piece.

The water bottle worked out well. My kids loved using it. Younger kids who tend to bite things though may cause leakage problems since the mouth piece is soft plastic.

This bottle is made in China, but so is the leading brand. Crocodile creek is much cheaper. The bottle is very durable and has survived several beatings from my two year old who can be very rough with things. No paint has chipped off. Because this is made of stainless steel and not aluminum, I do not have to worry about chemicals being leached into my son's drinking water.
